JUST AS I AM MINISTRIES, INC REQUESTS YOUR PARTICIPATION AND SUPPORT IN MEETING THE GROWING NEEDS FOR DONATED FOOD AND CLOTHES FOR NEEDY INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN CENTRAL TEXAS.

Just As I Am Ministries, Inc. has distributed since opening on March 28, 2010, Over 62 TONS or 124,000 pounds of food for needy individuals and families in Central Texas WITH A FOCUS on East Waco and surrounding areas. East Waco is an area where a high percent of the residents' incomes fall well below the government's defined poverty line and there is currently no local supermarket in East Waco. So the demand for healthy food, such as protein and produce, is very high.

Individuals in East Waco must travel to Bellmead or go across the Brazos River to North or South Waco, to shop. Many must take public transportation or pay someone to take them to these areas. This then cuts into what little they have to spend for food.

Working with the Capital Area Food Bank of Austin, Texas, we are able to obtain food at a nominal handling fee per pound, but we need your support to reach the increasing demands of the Waco community.

We are funded by donations from private individuals who care about others in need. So any size financial donation that you give us will be greatly appreciated and will help us to continue to provide assistance to the shut-in, elderly, and poor individuals and families in Waco and the surrounding areas.

PLEASE SEND YOUR TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION TO:

JUST AS I AM MINISTRIES' "FREELY RECEIVE, FREELY GIVE' FOOD PANTRY

1415 Chapel Hill Drive

WACO, TEXAS 76712

PHONE 1-254-666-4051 or Cell: 1-914-319-4580

Thank you for your generous donation and may God richly bless you.

John 3:16 " God so loved that He gave...".

TRUE FRIENDSHIP IS ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN LOVE

TRUE FRIENDSHIP IS ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN LOVE

1 SAMUEL 18:1-4

The story of Jonathan (Jonathan means "Yahweh Gave") and David's friendship (David means "Favorite or Beloved") is a shadow of the love and friendship that Christ has for us. Jonathan loved David and his soul was knitted to David's indicating that he loved David with all of his heart and soul.

Jonathan's could see the anointing on David's life. Jonathan was King Saul's son and heir to King Saul's kingdom. But his friendship with David was more important to him than being the next king of Israel.

Love is an action word. Jonathan demonstrated his love for David by removing his royal garment, princely robe, and his weapons, and giving them to David, the young humble shepherd.

Jonathan took off his royal robe, royal sword, his royal bow, his royal armor and did not hesitate to lay them down for his friend, David. Perhaps, doing this in the eyes of some and his father, King Saul, may have been interpreted as choosing David instead of himself as a future king of Israel.

Jonathan exhibited genuine love, the kind of love that Jesus speaks of in the Gospels. Jonathan was willing to lay down his own way of life as a Prince of Israel and his future kingship and all its rewards and honors to his friend, David.

Jonathan knew who he was in the eyes of God and giving David his royal garnents elevated him in stature in God's eyes. Jonathan knew he had nothing to fear from David.

Why was Jonathan's love of David so important? It is an illustration for us today to help us understand how true love gives of its itself and expects nothing in return. It reminds of God's grace toward us.

JOHN 15:13. Jesus said: GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS".

Jesus Christ loved us so much that He laid aside his kingly garments, his crown, his scepter and robed himself in human flesh and died on the cross so that we could be clothed in his garment of salvation and his robe of righteousness.

So we can say as in ISAIAH 61:10.

"I WILL GREATLY REJOICE IN THE LORD, MY SOUL SHALL BE JOYFUL IN MY GOD FOR HE HATH CLOTHED ME WITH THE GARMENTS OF SALVATION, HE HATH COVERED ME WITH THE ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS..."

Also, In 1 JOHN 4:18, we know that "THERE IS NO FEAR IN LOVE BUT PERFECT LOVE CASTETH OUT FEAR BECAUSE FEAR HAS TORMENT." I believe Jonathan's love for David was perfect!

In EPHESIANS 3:17-19, God wants us to be "rooted and grounded" in love (preferring others to ourselves).

WHY?

EPHESIANS 3:18-19: That WE "... MAY BE ABLE TO COMPREHEND WITH ALL

SAINTS WHAT IS THE BREADTH AND LENGTH AND DEPTH AND HEIGHT; AND TO

KNOW THE LOVE OF CHRIST, WHICH PASSETH KNOWLEDGE, THAT YE (We) MIGHT

BE FILLED WITH ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD".

(Filled with the fullness of GOD means that we will be filled with the fullness of Love since GOD IS LOVE!

During this Christmas Season, let us demonstrate to others the love that God has for us:

JOHN 3:16. FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN

SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE

EVERLASTING LIFE.

EVERYTHING IN OUR LIVES CAN ONLY HAPPEN FOR US IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME

EVERYTHING IN OUR LIVES CAN ONLY HAPPEN FOR US IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME

By Dr. Patricia A. Iglehart, President
Just As I Am Ministries, Inc.

The down pouring of the Holy Spirit upon the one hundred twenty souls in Jerusalem came " when the Day of Pentecost had fully come".

Pentecost was celebrated by the Jewish people from time of Moses in the Old Testament, but it was only a shadow of what was to come. In the book of Acts, chapter 2, when the"Day of Pentecost had fully come", those who had witnessed the resurrected Christ and were on one accord in mind amd heart were baptized with the Holy Ghost. This did not happen until the fullness of time. The Jewish Messiah had come, was crucified, buried, and resurrected prior to the day that Pentecost had fully come.

The appearance of Jesus Christ, our Messiah's on earth did not occur until the fullness of time. When the “fullness of time” had come, Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary. Everything had to be done in order and with the level of precision that only The Holy Omnipotent God could accomplish.

God used the same type of precision in orchestrating our birth on the earth; however, since we had earthly fathers who had descended from Adam, we were born in sin and shaped in iniquity. Jesus had God as His Father and was not born under the curse of sin as we were.

Since Jesus was free of sin, His Mission was to help us to be reconciled with our Father so we can go back home.

Before we place our lives in the hands of GOD through Jesus Christ, we are lost and can not on our own find out where home is or from where we came.

We just arrived here on earth and some one told us who our father and mother were when we were old enough to understand.

Some times it may take several years after we give our lives to Christ before we begin to understand where we came from, where our real home is , and the mystery of our being (body, soul, and, spirit).

It was after reading Psalms 90 that I realized that my spirit was residing in GOD before I was conceived.

Psalms 90:1-2. 1. “LORD, THOU hast been our dwellingplace in all generations. 2. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art GOD.” (KJV)

Psalms 90:1-2 and Psalms 139: 13-16 let us know that while our spirit was in God, the substance from which our physical bodies are made was in the earth. It was with God’s command that our spirit from God united with the body chosen by God for us.

God chose:
1.	The Channel (our mother and father) through which we would enter the world;
2.	The Location on earth where we would be born (our birthplace);
3.	Our race or ethnicity;
4.	Our gender (whether we would be a boy or girl);
5.	The Time in history for us to be born .

While we were born on a specific month, day, and year in the 20th Century, we could have been born, for example, in 1000 B.C., 1200 A. D. (during the Holy Crusade); 1860 (during the Civil War) or any other time. It was only after that GOD had set up everything that we needed for our life were we born here on earth.

Understanding this lets us know that everything about us was pre-known by the Omniscient GOD long before we was born. We were born at the fullness of our time just as Jesus was.

Let’s look at the precision and detail of our being as outlined in Psalms 139:13-16.
13. “For thou (LORD) hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

14. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

15. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned when as yet there was none of them.

“The fullness of time” that God has chosen for us has ensured that we have everything we need to find our way back home. The Gospel of Jesus Christ in the New Testament as well as the Holy Bible has many translation or versions here in America. Churches are everywhere. The Gospel is being preached on radio and TV twenty-four hours a day. Bibles and commentaries can be purchased at Wal-mart or almost any book store. The Bible is now also available on DVDs and CDs.

IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN BORN AGAIN BY ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST,THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR, “THE FULLNESS OF TIME” FOR YOU IS NOW.

AFFIRMING A BROTHERLY COVENANT: JONATHAN AND DAVID

I SAMUEL 19: 20-42. A Bond That God Establishes Between You and Another Can Not Be Broken by Someone Else!

I Samuel 19:30-31. "Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, 'Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou has chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness?

For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die.

A true friend will stick by you even if they lose all that they have and even their life. Jonathan suffered the abuse of his father King Saul because of his love for David, his friend. The love between Jonathan and David was established by God. Jonathan's love for David was greater than anything his father had to offer him. He preferred David, his friend, to be the next king instead of himself. He was willing to lay down his way of life to maintain his friendship with David. Jonathan loved God and he could see the anointing on David's life.

I believe that, although the writing in I John 2:15-17, had not been penned by John until hundreds of years later, Jonathan knew that no one, not even his father, King Saul, could separate him from the love of his friend and God's will for his life.

I believe that Jonathan knew in his heart the following and was rewarded by God for his obedient spirit:

I John 2:V15. "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

V16: For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

V17: And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."

For Jesus said in John 15:13, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Jonathan's parting words to David, his friend. I Samuel 20:42.

"And Jonathan said to David, "Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, The LORD be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever...".

Preferring David over himself, Jonathan established for himself life eternally. That is why whenever I think about King David I remember Jonathan, his friend and the sacrifice he made.

The First Born Sons of Man May Fail But Thank God His First Born Son, Jesus Christ, Did Not!

Just As I Am Ministries, Incorporated (JAIAMI) and Men's Wearhouse's Suit Drive Was a Real Success

The JAIAMI and Men's Wearhouse's Suit Drive in the Waco Area was quite a success. Mayor Virginia Dupuy kicked off the drive on September 1 at the Men's Wearhouse store in the Waco Marketplace Shopping Center off I 35 and Highway 6 by donating a gently used suit.

Just As I Am Ministries is in the process of renovating a small store front in East Waco that will provide free clothing and furniture to needy individuals and families. Also the building will house a food pantry working with the Austin Capital Area Food Bank. The Clothing Pantry is currently located at the Ministry Outreach Center at 930 South 11th Street in Waco opposite the Kate Ross Public Housing Project.

Unlike, many charities in the area, Just As I Am Ministries donates their clothing and food to the needy, in lieu of selling them in a thrift store.

Funded primarily from donations by private individuals, the Ministry is beginning its sixth year of operation. JAIAMI is an IRS 501 c3 charity and all donations made to the organization are tax exempt and you can be confident that all donations will be used to assist the most needy individuals in our community.
